On / Off:
Off: hardwire bypass with relays. (meter-light off)
Metering:
Indicates the saturation intensity with a very slow ballistic. Decoupled with a buffer stage from the main circuit.
Boom A / B:
This changes the transfer curve of the low frequencies.
- Middle position: linear
- A: Gentle boost of very low frequencies (about 60Hz)
- B: Gentle boost from low mid frequencies to very low frequencies.
The switching in the circuit is realized with relays.
1 - 6:
Increases the Intensity of saturation.
From 1: very subtle saturation, to 6: hard saturation with audible distortions
All steps are volume compensated so the output level will remain as close matched as possible to the input level.

Details:
I developed the density as I didn't have a device in my studio that could produce analog saturation during tracking and mixing. I build it in the 500 format to allow for easy integration into existing systems and to make it easily expandable.
